[UPDATED] HITLER’S new JUDENRATS* set sail for Gaza - By: Bare Naked Islam

[UPDATED] HITLER’S new JUDENRATS* set sail for Gaza

A boat carrying left wing Jewish activists from Israel, Germany, the U.S. and Britain set sail on Sunday for Gaza, hoping to breach Israel’s naval blockade there. These traitorous Jews say there will be no violence but so did the activists on the Turkish flotilla.

MSNBC Boat passenger Rami Elhanan, an Israeli whose daughter Smadar was killed in a Palestinian suicide bombing at a shopping mall in Jerusalem in 1997, said it was his “moral duty” to act in support of Palestinians in Gaza because reconciliation was the surest path to peace. (And now you know why Jews ended up in gas chambers in WWII)
“Those 1.5 million people in Gaza are victims exactly as I am,” Elhanan, 60, said in an interview. (Looks like the terrorists got the wrong Elhanan)
Richard Kuper, an organizer with the U.K. group Jews for Justice for Palestinians, said one goal is to show that not all Jews support Israeli policies toward Palestinians. Kuper said the boat, which set sail from northern Cyprus flying a British flag, won’t resist if Israeli authorities try to stop it.Lillian Rosengarten, 75, right, of the U.S. and Reuven Moskovitz, 82, two of 9 Jewish activists aboard, wave to media and friends as it sets sail from Famagusta harbor in the Turkish-occupied north of ethnically divided Cyprus
Organizer Alison Prager said from the boat before it left Cyprus that although many Jews have been on previous “blockade-busting trips” to Gaza, this was the first time Jewish groups have banded together to send a boat of their own. (That’s right, sell your souls to make friends with the enemy who still want you dead)
In Jerusalem, Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Andy David called the latest protest boat “a provocative joke that isn’t funny.”(Let’s hope Israeli commandos have shoot-to-kill orders) “It’s unfortunate that there are all kids of organizations involved in provocations that contribute nothing and certainly don’t contribute to any kind of agreement,” David said.
Hamas, the Islamic militant group that seized control of the coastal strip of Gaza three years ago, had no immediate comment. The trip came nearly four months after Israeli commandos boarded a flotilla of Gaza-bound ships, including the Mavi Marmara, killing nine activists
*Judenrats were Nazi-appointed Jews whose job was to govern Jewish ghettos, select Jews for “relocation” to concentration camps, and  communicate orders of the ghetto Nazi masters. At least the Judenrats had an excuse for turning on their fellow Jews because of Nazi threats which were given credence by beatings and executions. Why are these new Judenrats turning on the only country in the world where they are welcome?

Israeli Navy intercepts the boat and stops the stupid self-hating sorry excuses for Jews.

NY TIMES Israeli navy commandos peacefully commandeered a catamaran sailed by an international group of Jewish activists on Tuesday trying to break Israel’s blockade on Gaza.
The Israeli military said in a statement that the vessel was boarded without incident and that “no violence of any kind was used by neither the passengers onboard nor the Israel naval forces.”
The military nicknamed the boat, “the Provocation Yacht.”
“The I.D.F. regrets that it must divert the Israel navy’s attention from its regular operational activity defending Israel and its citizens because of acts of provocation such as this,” the army statement said of Tuesday’s incident.

Really stupid British Jews

Those antisemites who think that Jews are using their unnaturally high intelligence to take over the world must have missed this:
FAMAGUSTA, Cyprus (AP) — A boat carrying Jewish activists from Israel, Germany, the U.S. and Britain set sail on Sunday for Gaza, hoping to breach Israel’s naval blockade there.
Richard Kuper, an organizer with the British group Jews for Justice for Palestinians, said one goal is to show that not all Jews support Israeli policies toward Palestinians. Kuper said the boat, which set sail from northern Cyprus flying a British flag, won’t resist if Israeli authorities try to stop it.
Emanuele Ottolenghi comments (h/t Yaakov Lozowick),
There is, nevertheless, a certain irony in the fact that they use Northern Cyprus as a staging ground for their activities — like the Mavi Marmara-led Flotilla did last May. Here’s the irony — Northern Cyprus is an illegally occupied territory that belongs to the EU as part of its member state, Cyprus; it was seized by force in 1974 by the Turkish army; its legal status as a fictionally independent state is only recognized by Turkey (the occupying power); Turkey forcibly removed hundreds of thousands of ethnic Greeks from that territory and settled its own population to permanently alter the ethnic balance of the area – and, in the process, encouraged the building of what one could characterize as settlements.
Now doesn’t this sound awfully familiar — the kind of accusations that organizations such as the JFJFP would routinely level at Israel’s presence in the West Bank and, until 2005, in Gaza? These are the kind of things that get such enlightened Jews agitated enough that they need to spring into action — if the alleged perpetrator is Israel.

I can imagine how this project got started:
Jew for Justice for Palestinians no. 1: I am so tired of being accused of supporting Israel just because I’m Jewish! Last night I met a super hot chick at the rally against the Judaization of Arab hummus, but as soon as she saw my  Magen David tattoo she  said, “you don’t care about the Palestinian people because you’re Jewish, so just naff off!”  And then she went home with a Turkish guy.
JFJFP 2: I have an idea. Let’s have a flotilla! You saw for yourself what it did for the Turks.
JFJFP 1: But they won’t let us get near Gaza. How will it help the oppressed Palestinian people?
JFJFP 2: Oh, I thought the problem was the chicks.

I guess all the really smart Jews are busy developing cyber-weapons to attack Iran with.

I mean, in all seriousness, what is it possible to say except “stupid, stupid, stupid”?
"Naff off," she said.
"Naff off," she said.

My note:

I have posted articles from two (of many) websites I trust to give a true report on this latest, most painful news of Jews resorting to the lies of Israel's enemies - for what purpose, I cannot say.  I can only say how deeply it wounds each of us to witness Jews being used as "pawns" or "puppets" in the hands of those who wish nothing but destruction to all Jews, and to all "infidels" i.e. non-Muslims.

Ah, but unlike the liberal press that hides news, we face reality and post even what may bring upon us great pain.

However, if the liberal press can use this news to harm and embarrass Israel, it will do so - which means, these Jews riding the waves of terrorism, heading towards Gaza, will be used to mock the very people they make claims to be - a Jew.

Double Standards - from DRY BONES

THURSDAY, JULY 08, 2010

Crime Conference (1975)

(1975) Dry Bones cartoon: Legalizing the Double Standard.
Today's Golden Oldie is a Dry Bones cartoon done way back in 1975!!
I'm posting it for a two reasons.
First; a recent criminal court case in England. Suspects in the vandalizing of a factory presented as their defense that they believed that the factory produced military parts for the Jewish State to use to carry out war crimes in Gaza. The Judge, George Bathurst-Norman told the jury: “You may well think that hell on earth would not be an understatement of what the Gazans suffered in that time.” They were acquited -full story
Second; today's news had the story that Charlie Manson gang member, Leslie Van Houten, was denied parole for the 19th time. She's been in jail for 41 years. Van Houten was convicted of murder and conspiracy for her role in the slayings of Leno and Rosemary La Bianca. They were stabbed to death in August 1969, one night after Manson's followers killed actress Sharon Tate and four others. -full story
The conclusion is simply that the legal and moral system in the West is bent out of shape. If only Ms. Van Houten had carried out her murders in Israel as part of a conspiracy to drive Jews out of the Middle East, the West would now be impatiently and eagerly waiting for Bibi to set her free as part of a prisoner release gift to Hamas kidnappers.
Your thoughts?

Eighty-seven Senators out of 100 - Who refused to sign the letter?

The Story as reported by UPI:

WASHINGTON, June 23 (UPI)
--
"Eighty-seven members of the U.S. Senate urged President Barack Obama Wednesday to oppose a U.N. resolution criticizing Israel's handling of an aid flotilla.

The senators -- including Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky. -- signed a letter to Obama defending Israel's actions in a May 31 confrontation during which nine people aboard a flotilla carrying aid to Gaza were killed, The Hill reported.
The letter expresses support for Israel's right to defend itself and asserts Israel was acting in self defense when its troops boarded ships in the flotilla.

"In response to thousands of rocket attacks on Israel from Hamas terrorists in Gaza, Israel took steps to prevent items which could be used to support these attacks from reaching Gaza," the letter said. "Israel's naval blockade, which is legal under international law, allows Israel to keep dangerous goods from entering Gaza by sea. The intent of the measures is to protect Israel, while allowing humanitarian aid into Gaza."-more
Eighty-seven Senators out of the 100 in the Senate is really impressive.
But I was curious about the identity of the 13 American Senators who refused to sign the letter. So I checked.
The thirteen are:
1. Chris Dodd (D) - Connecticut
2. Dan Akaka (D) - Hawaii
3. Tom Harkin (D) - Iowa
4. John Kerry (D) - Massachusetts
5. Jeff Bingaman (D) - New Mexico
6. Tom Udall (D) - New Mexico
7. Jeff Merkley (D) - Oregon
8. Patrick Leahy (D) - Vermont
9. Jim Webb (D) - Virginia
10. Jim Bunning (R) - Kentucky
11. Judd Gregg (R) - New Hampshire
12. Robert Byrd (D) - West Virginia
13. Bernie Sanders (I) - Vermont

* * *
Meanwhile Bibi will soon be off to a meeting with Obama. Will the message from the Senate mean anything to the President? Your thoughts?

Note:
The very fact that the Senators felt the need to write Obama demonstrates that Obama ignores the "will of the people", along with the allies of the United States.  Open letters have been sent to Obama from both Jewish and Christian organizations during the past year, pleading with Obama to "support Israel" ....

What does this say about America's president and his administration?

Not much!

Make your vote count this November!

Bee Sting

PS:  Note the two Republicans out of the 13?  I happen to be a resident of one of the states - I can guarantee you that the one who refused to sign this letter will be "history" come November.

The Obama Obami Whammy

Sunday, June 27, 2010

Read this from Barry Rubin and ask yourself, well, don't really. Just sigh.

The June 20 White House statement opens thusly:

"The President has described the situation in Gaza as unsustainable and has made clear that it demands fundamental change."

One would expect that a rational policy would use the words "unsustainable" and "demands fundamental change" to mean that the president demands the overthrow of Hamas. In fact, it signifies the exact opposite: he demands the stabilization of that regime.

The statement continues:

"On June 9, [Obama] announced that the United States was moving forward with $400 million in initiatives and commitments for the West Bank and Gaza. The President described these projects as a down payment on the U.S. commitment to the people of Gaza, who deserve a chance to take part in building a viable, independent state of Palestine, together with those who live in the West Bank."
Just think of the calm insanity of that paragraph. The United States is going to pump money into Gaza. That money is a "down payment on the U.S. commitment," that is, it is not an act of generosity for which the United States deserves to get something in return. No, the phrasing makes it seem that the United States owes them the money.

Gaza: When There's No Beef Stroganoff--THAT'S Poverty!

A day at the beach along shores of Gaza ....

True, there are real shortages in Gaza as a result of the border closure and the Israeli blockade--shortages that are the direct result of the Hamas terrorists who control Gaza and continue to fire rockets into civilian areas in Israel.

But sometimes, these claims of poverty become absurd.

From Der Spiegel (part 2; part 1 here):
Samir Badr, 53, the head chef at Roots, isn't sure what to make of the Israeli recommendation. He is standing at the gas range in his kitchen, roasting eggplants. "If the Israelis knew how hard it is to get all the ingredients for beef stroganoff!" It starts with the meat, he says. The cattle come from Israel, but there is often no meat to be had, or cream, for that matter. It wouldn't survive the trip through the tunnels. Vegetables come from Gaza, but they are often contaminated, because of inadequate sewage treatment resulting from a lack of electricity. Besides, there are problems with cooking equipment, and plates, glasses and cutlery are in short supply.
Ah yes, the Stroganoff. One can only hope that the customers at Roots won't suffer too much--

"The Israelis point to the few good things in Gaza, but they don't talk about the majority of people, who are not doing well," Basil Nasser, 44, one of the owners of Roots, says furiously. "Sure, there's enough to eat in Gaza, but poverty is more than that. Poverty is when the 15,000 people who graduate from the university each year have to beg for jobs as waiters, when an extended family lives in a single room and when the hospital lacks critical drugs. That's poverty."
Someone should point out to the owner of Roots that the point of the aid that Israel provides on a daily basis is not to provide luxuries to Gaza. Better to hope for the day that Hamas stops the rockets and releases Gilad Shalit--who is held incommunicado, contrary to international law.

Lee Smith, author of The Strong Horse: Power, Politics, and the Clash of Arab Civilizations, has responded to Nasser's complaint:
There is not an Arab state where this is not true of college graduates - especially now after the financial crisis has affected the Gulf states and made it harder for Lebanese, Egyptians, Syrians, Moroccans etc to find work in the Gulf.

However, this ignorance of what the Arab world looks like is a consistent problem you see in the Western press where reporters on Israeli-Palestinian issues generally have very little experience of the region outside of Israel and the West Bank and Gaza. So instead of comparing Gaza to a Cairo slum like Imbaba, or Ramallah to an Arab capital like Damascus, they are compared to Tel Aviv, West Jerusalem and Western cities.
Based on his assessment, we are being misled by the media--a serious problem that will continue for the foreseeable future.

IDF SPOKESMAN: Demonstrators Use Violence Against Israeli Navy Soldiers Attempting to Board Ship, 31 May 2010

May 31, 2010

Early this morning, IDF Naval Forces boarded six ships attempting to break the maritime closure of the Gaza Strip. This happened after numerous warnings from Israel and the Israeli Navy that were issued prior to the action. The Israel Navy requested the ships to redirect toward Ashdod where they would be able to unload their aid supplies which would then be transferred over land after undergoing security inspections.

During the boarding of the ships, the demonstrators onboard attacked the IDF Naval personnel with live fire and light weaponry including knives and clubs. Additionally one of the weapons used was grabbed from an IDF soldier. The demonstrators had clearly prepared their weapons in advance for this specific purpose.

As a result of this life-threatening and violent activity, naval forces employed riot dispersal means, as well as live fire.

According to initial reports, these events resulted in the deaths of nine demonstrators and seven naval personnel were injured, some from gunfire and some from various other weapons. Two of the soldiers are moderately wounded and the remainder sustained light injuries. All of the injured, Israelis and foreigners have been evacuated by helicopter to hospitals in Israel.
Reports from IDF forces on the scene are that it seems as if part of the participants onboard the ships were planning to lynch the forces.

The interception of the flotilla followed numerous warnings given to the organizers of the flotilla before leaving their ports as well as while sailing towards the Gaza Strip. In these warnings, it was made clear to the organizers that they could dock in the Ashdod sea port and unload the equipment they are carrying in order to deliver it to the Gaza Strip in an orderly manner, following the appropriate security checks. Upon expressing their unwillingness to cooperate and arrive at the port, it was decided to board the ships and lead them to Ashdod.

IDF naval personnel encountered severe violence, including use of weaponry prepared in advance in order to attack and to harm them. The forces operated in adherence with operational commands and took all necessary actions in order to avoid violence, but to no avail.

Israel should not be making nice when they aren’t.

Israpundit.com

The point Lieberman makes below is one that many people have made to me but they go father. In general why are we helping them develop economically at all. Why don’t we keep the pressure on with roadblocks etc so they will continue to emigrate or show a willingness to live in peace with us and to make significant concessions.?

It is one thing when an individual attempts a terrorist act and the PA says we can’t guarantee that there won’t be such acts and it is another thing when the PA itself initiates policies that are anti-Israel. During the Arafat years we kept ignoring his violations of the Oslo Accords because we didn’t want to upset the process and we are doing the same thing now. And we continue to make “gestures” such as the temporary freeze to show them we are sincere.

At a minimum we should not be making nice when they aren’t.

Lieberman: PA Delegitimizes Us with Our Money

by Gil Ronen

(IsraelNN.com) Much of the international delegitimization against Israel is carried out by the Palestinian Authority (PA), Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Monday in a session of the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, adding that some of it is paid for by cash that Israel supplies to the PA.

Most of the legal motions filed against IDF officers are financed by the PA and initiated by it, Lieberman said.

Lieberman said it was not clear if PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, known also as Abu Mazen, represents anyone but himself. “Abu Mazen does not represent the residents of Gaza because Hamas rules there. Seeing as elections in the PA have been postponed three times, one needs to ask whom does Abu Mazen represent. It is not clear that he can supply the goods in negotiations. It is unacceptable that while we cooperate on security, economics and financing, they continue to file lawsuits against us and incite.”

Lieberman said he could not bring himself to trust people who filed legal charges against senior Israeli officials. “In every conversation between Palestinians and senior figures in other countries, the former say they do not trust our sincerity - but I do not believe their sincerity, in view of the boycotts that they are initiating against Israeli goods and the lawsuits. We must examine, as a society, whether we consent to accept these rules of the game – that allow them to negotiate with us while turning many of their resources against us.”

Middle East is on Fire - Territorial Compromise Won’t Work
Lieberman said that in his personal view, an arrangement with the Arabs cannot be reached through territorial compromise. He cited the failure of offers made by former prime ministers Ehud Barak and Ehud Olmert. “It is no accident that for 16 years no arrangement has been reached, even when there were left-wing and centrist governments,” he explained. “There are no offers that go further than what Barak offered at Camp David. The conflict has become a religious one in recent years. As such, there is no possibility of reaching an arrangement through territorial compromise. Therefore we cannot achieve peace according to the offers made by Olmert.”

“We in the Israel Our Home party agree to swapping land and territory, as it says in our platform,” he said. “Today, when the entire Middle East is on fire, whoever says that an arrangement can be reached quickly is planting illusions.”

Samson Blinded reports

The Legal Forum for the Land of Israel issued yet another futile petition for the government to cease sending cash to Gaza. The government currently evaluates a tranche of half a billion shekels.

The transfer itself is not a problem: if not from Israel, Gazans would receive transaction cash from anywhere else. Israel, like any country, profits from exporting its paper currency. Rather, the issue lies in tax transfers: Israel indirectly taxes Jewish consumers to support our Arab enemies. The continuing transfers are especially odd when the PA takes an increasingly militant position in peace negotiations. The transfers make Israel the PA’s largest donor.

But how do Gazans spend shekels? Since Israel instituted the blockade, they cannot spend shekels, but cannot be hoarding that much cash, either. It is clear that despite the blockade Israeli-Gazan trade is in full swing.

British journalist Paul Martin held in Gaza

BBC News.com

A British journalist has been arrested in Gaza by Hamas security forces, British and Hamas officials say.

The man was identified as Paul Martin. The arrest was confirmed by the Foreign Office, which also said it was providing consular assistance.

A Hamas spokesman said Mr Martin was arrested for violating security but further details were not given.

Reports say he was taken into custody for a fortnight while attending a court hearing.

Mr Martin has written for the BBC and the Times.

Hamas interior ministry spokesman Ehab Ghussein said: "We have confessions that the British journalist committed offences against Palestinian law, and that harms the security of the country."

Hamas is the Palestinian militant Islamist organisation that took control of Gaza after winning elections there in 2007.

UN report co-author: Hamas fired 2 rockets before Gaza op

Haartz.com
By Anshel Pfeffer and Danna Harman

A co-author of the Goldstone report on Operation Cast Lead claims that Hamas fired only two rockets at Israel prior to last winter's conflict, according to a new report published by the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs.

The center's head, Dr. Dore Gold, former ambassador to the United Nations and an adviser to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, revealed the report at a press conference on Wednesday
According to Gold's report, compiled by Lt. Col. (res.) Jonathan Dahoah-Halevi, during all the Goldstone Commission's interviews with Palestinian civilians, neither Travers nor its other members asked the interviewees who said their houses had been blown up by the Israel Defense Forces whether they were members of Hamas or Islamic Jihad or whether weapons had been stored in their homes. (The transcripts of the interviews have been posted on the UN Web site.)

When Travers interviewed two Palestinian psychologists, he asked them how Israeli soldiers could kill children in front of their parents as if it were a fact.

In an interview last week with the Middle East Monitor, Travers leveled harsh accusations at the Israel Defense Forces that do no appear in the Goldstone report. He said the IDF had used drones that could detect people inside of buildings by their body heat and did so in attacking houses in which dozens of Palestinian civilians had taken shelter. According to Travers, Israel had attacked the Gaza Strip although Hamas supposedly only fired two rockets at Israel in the month before the operation, and that Hamas had wanted to continue the cease-fire.

The institute's report notes that Travers ignored the fact that in three days alone during the month before the IDF campaign, Hamas had fired 32 rockets at Israel and that according to Hamas spokesmen, among them the organization's leader in Damascus, Khaled Meshal, Hamas had resolved to end the cease-fire.

In two other media interviews, Travers rejected any possibility that Hamas had been using Gaza Strip mosques to hide weapons, despite Israel's evidence to the contrary and the testimony of a British army officer who visited Gaza and found clear signs that a mosque had been used for this purpose. According to Travers, the claim about the weapons in mosques "reflects Western perceptions in some quarters that Islam is a violent religion."

The report by the Jerusalem think tank also includes quotes from an interview Travers gave in which he accused Israel of murdering many Irish soldiers who where members of the UNIFIL contingent in South Lebanon. When asked about the fact that there had been official disagreement in Britain with the findings of the Goldstone report, Travers said that "Britain's foreign policy interests in the Middle East seem to be influenced strongly by Jewish lobbyists."

Travers contradicted the Goldstone report itself in his remark that he found no indication that Palestinians testifying before the commission feared reprisals by Hamas if they reported on the group's activities.

The Goldstone report found that Israel had purposefully struck Palestinian civilian targets, infrastructure and sites where there had been no Hamas military activity. According to Dahoah-Halevi, who perused a great deal of material on the Hamas Web site, if the Goldstone Commission had examined that material, to which the institute had referred it, it would have found a great deal of evidence of Hamas activity at the sites in question.

Institute director Gold called on Judge Richard Goldstone, the commission chairman, to condemn Travers' remarks.

Asked by Haaretz in an e-mail to respond to the report, Travers said that he was "not in a position to respond" in time for the paper's deadline. He wrote that Mr. Dore Gold's accusations of anti-Semitism were "of course an old canard - designed to silence reasoned debate on Israeli issues and is heartily rejected."

Overtly Skewed Media Coverage

Overtly Skewed Media Coverage

Soldiers in the Congo

Soldiers in the Congo

So much media attention is spent on Israel. Is it deserved?

Military conflicts around the world are surely newsworthy. By taking media coverage as an indicator, it would seem that most of the world’s military conflict occur in and around Israel…but how large is the conflict in Israel, compared to others?

Stealth Conflicts (via Augean Stables) demonstrates the issue with a clever chart

Comparison of Death Tolls in Congo and Israel

Comparison of Death Tolls in Congo and Israel

Pyjamas Media (also via Augean Stables) present a further analysis of the problem in an article describing the media footprint of conflicts. They compare the media coverage of an incident from last year’s Operation Cast Lead in Gaza to one in the Congo. In Gaza, an errant shell accidentally killed 40 Gazan civilians when it was aimed at an artillery position a scant 30 meters away. In the Congo, more than 100 civilians who took refuge in a catholic church were hacked to pieces by the LRA militia. Pyjamas Media’s analysis (using Google News) found that the Gaza story was reported 242 times more than the Congo one.

Critics of Israel often cite the supposed disproportionality of response by the IDF. Perhaps it’s time to look at the disproportionality of coverage by the media.

Hamas Official Murdered in Dubai Hotel Room

New York Times
By ROBERT F. WORTH and ISABEL KERSHNER
Published: January 29, 2010

SANA, Yemen — A senior Hamas official was murdered in a Dubai hotel room last week, the Palestinian militant group said on Friday. Hamas accused Israel of the killing and vowed to retaliate.

The official, Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, 50, lived in Syria and was a founder of Hamas’s military wing, which has carried out hundreds of deadly attacks against Israel since the 1980s, Hamas officials said. He had survived several previous assassination attempts, relatives said, including one three months ago that left him in a coma for 24 hours.

The Dubai police issued a statement saying that Mr. Mabhouh was killed hours after arriving in the city on Jan. 19 by a “professional criminal gang” that left Dubai before the body was discovered. The killers had been tracking him since before his arrival in Dubai, and most of them traveled on European passports, the statement said.

There were conflicting reports about how Mr. Mabhouh was killed, with some relatives saying Hamas officials told them he was electrocuted and others saying he was poisoned or suffocated. Osama Hamdan, a Hamas spokesman in Lebanon, said “we will not talk about the details until we have put all the pieces of the puzzle together.”

Israeli officials declined to comment.

Assassinations are rare in Dubai, a polyglot business hub on the Persian Gulf where deposed foreign leaders sometimes sought shelter among the city’s skyscrapers and luxury hotels. But that began to change last year after a former Chechen rebel was shot dead in an underground Dubai parking lot.

“The myth that Dubai is the eye of the storm, and no one will touch it because everyone has an interest, is being blown apart,” said Christopher Davidson, the author of two books on the United Arab Emirates, to which Dubai belongs.

Mr. Mabhouh is said to have organized the capture of two Israeli soldiers during a Palestinian uprising in the 1980s. He was imprisoned several times by Israel.

Hamas has ruled Gaza since 2006, but its political leaders are also based in Damascus, Syria. There have been a number of attempts on the lives of Hamas members. Last month two Hamas officials were killed in a mysterious explosion in southern Beirut, near the headquarters of Hezbollah. In 1997, Khaled Meshaal, the leader of the group’s Damascus politburo, survived an Israeli assassination attempt in Amman, Jordan.

Mr. Mabhouh was buried on Friday in the Al Yarmouk Palestinian camp, near the Syrian capital, on Friday afternoon. Television images showed large crowds of Palestinians in attendance, as pallbearers carried his coffin, draped in a green Hamas flag.

Hamas officials visited the Mabhouh family home in the Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza and vowed to avenge his death.

Ismail Haniya, the leader of the Hamas government in Gaza, kissed Mr. Mabhouh’s father on the forehead and described his son as a hero. Another senior Hamas leader in Gaza, Khalil al-Hayya, told reporters at the Jabaliya home that Mr. Mabhouh was “not the first one the Mossad’s hand has reached.”

“We reserve our right to respond to this crime in a suitable time and place,” Mr. Hayya said. But, he added, “We in Hamas emphasize that our battlefield is the land of Palestine and our battle with the enemy is in Palestine,” and not on foreign soil.

Mohammed Abdel Raouf al-Mabhouh, the brother of Mahmoud, said in an interview that he had last seen his brother in May 1989. Mahmoud felt that he was in danger, according to his brother, because of his involvement in the abduction and killing of two Israeli soldiers in separate incidents that year.

Mahmoud escaped Gaza without telling his family where he was going. Mohammed said he had not been back in Gaza since, but that his wife and children had visited there in 2007.

On Jan. 20, according to Mohammed, Mahmoud’s wife called from Syria to say that Mahmoud had been found dead in his hotel room in Dubai, hours after his arrival there.

“We were sure there was something mysterious about his death,” Mohammed said, adding that his brother had been the target of several assassination attempts before.

Underground Egypt-Gaza tunnel dubbed 'wall of death'

BRENDAN TREMBATH: There are mounting tensions on the border between Egypt and Gaza over plans by Egypt to cut off the tunnels Palestinians use to circumvent a strict Israeli blockade.

Egypt has begun building a formidable underground wall to block the tunnels once and for all.

A week ago the project sparked violent protests along the border which left one Egyptian dead and several Palestinians injured.

Now Hamas leaders are demanding Egypt stop construction of what they call the "wall of death".

Middle East correspondent Anne Barker reports from Gaza.

(Sound of machinery)

ANNE BARKER: I'm looking over the edge into a deep hole in the ground. Below me is a sheer 10 metre drop through a wooden shaft to a tunnel.

Suddenly a man is winched up on a hook and after him sacks of food products and new clothing.

This is the entrance to one of hundreds of underground tunnels between Gaza and Egypt used to smuggle everything from food and medicines to household goods, vehicles, even livestock.

But Israel says they're used to bring in weapons and it regularly bombs the area to stop smuggling and enforce the blockade it imposed on Gaza to punish its Hamas rulers.

The tunnels too are dangerous. Dozens of Palestinians have died here. But tunnel workers say there are no other jobs.

(Sound of Abu Omar speaking)

"At least 40 families rely on this tunnel," says Abu Omar, its owner. "There is no other work."

But now Egypt is set to cut off Gaza's main link to the outside world by building an underground wall to block the tunnels once and for all.

Across the border fence 200 metres away a row of huge machines are drilling into the earth, ramming thick sheets of steel into the ground 10 even 20 metres deep.

Seventeen-year-old Mohammed Ijhash works in the tunnels to support his family.

(Sound of Mohammed Ijhash speaking)

"Everything we eat, everything we have comes from the tunnels," he says. "If the tunnels stop, we'll die. There's not enough food without them."

The Israeli blockade stops everything but the most essential humanitarian supplies from entering Gaza as a means of punishing Hamas.

But in shops near the Egyptian border there's no shortage of luxury foods like chocolate and cheese, all courtesy of the underground tunnels.

Electronic shops too sell the latest in whitegoods and plasma TVs.

But if the Egyptian wall succeeds Gaza will lose its last commercial lifeline and become virtually dependent on humanitarian aid.

Some reports suggest Egypt is acting under pressure from Israel or even the US, although Egypt has its own motives for cutting supplies to Gaza and punishing Hamas.

Palestinians fear Egyptian authorities are even planning to fill the tunnels with water.

But Abu Omar believes that tunnel owners like him will always find a solution.

(Sound of Abu Omar speaking)

"If we can we'll cut through the steel wall underground," he says. "Or if we need to we'll just dig a deeper tunnel to go under it."

Humanitarian groups say the only long term solution is for Israel and Egypt to end their respective blockades.

This is Anne Barker in Gaza for AM.

Note: Any and all "groups" that cannot see the true purpose of blockades; the purpose being to protect the very lives of its citizens from terrorists in Gaza, has a lack of respect for the safety and security of its citizens. Let the tunnel rats dig deeper; let them dig hole to China, if necessary; but the blockades are a necessity because the evil intentions of terrorists are to kill, murder, and blow up anything they themselves do not know how to create; nor do they even care for their own peoples safety. These "humanitarian" groups must belong to the United Nations, or Obama's crowd! BeeSting

Why we must support Israel?

By David Rushton
I don’t have to tell you that the United States is in deep, deep trouble. We have a major financial crisis that can never be reversed and the country is also morally bankrupt. We have allowed President Obama to spend all of our savings and put every single American in debt that we can never repay. Americans are afraid to go out on the streets because of drugs and crime. We can only pull ourselves out of the pit if we reverse the trend of ignoring God and leaving Him out of our government, schools and churches.
Some tell us there is more than one god. Others say there is only one God and his name is Allah. Even our schools are teaching that Allah is God. But that is just another preposterous lie and sad to say many Americans are too timid to fight back with the truth.
There is only one God and His Name is not Allah
Have you noticed that Muslims always say what they want to say? We have been taught not to answer them. We are supposed to just remain silent and listen. The press and the government spout Muslim lies and we are expected not to refute them. Well, I think it’s time we had some equality and I don’t care in the slightest about political correctness. The truth has been suppressed for far too long and that is why we are in such a mess today. It’s time we started to stand up for God and for truth.
America became the leader of the Western World precisely because she honored God and supported Israel. We must come back to God and support our one true friend and ally in the world – Israel. The most obvious reason that we should support Israel is that God has commanded it. I know that God is no longer respected or even recognized in Washington today so it’s not surprising that our government leaders have no idea what I am talking about. Most of them do not read the Bible and of the few who read it most do not want to understand it. Our Presidents hold the Bible when they take the oath of office but if they opened it and read it with understanding they would know that they are destroying this once great nation by their very ignorance of God. More than that, they are destroying the whole world because, right or wrong, the United States is still the leader of the world in so many respects.
It saddens me to see all the “God Bless America” bumper stickers on cars all over the U.S. because I know that the drivers of so many of those cars have no idea who God is or what He expects of them. If only they would open their Bibles and seek the truth they would find, among other things, that God is irrevocably tied to Israel and that the anti Israeli actions of our leaders are criminally wrong.
Israel, a Blessing or a Curse?
The truth is that America is cursed and cannot be blessed until our leaders obey God. If our leaders did get serious about knowing God’s will they might find these startling facts.
God made a covenant with Abraham as follows.
“I will Bless them that Bless thee and I will Curse him that Curses thee and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed.” (Genesis 12:3)
God had just told Abraham to leave his birthplace, which in today’s terms was Iraq, and make the awesome journey to the Promised Land, Israel
. He said that if Abraham would do that God would bless the whole world through his descendents and also bless all who blessed his family.
The world has been immeasurably blessed by Jews. Do you have any idea how many Jews have helped mankind through their discoveries in Medicine and Physics alone? Until Yasir Arafat won the Nobel Prize for Peace the prize really meant something. Now it is worthless and they proved it by giving one to Gore and one to Obama. But in spite of the Nobel Committee’s very obvious decline into Political Correctness and senility the record of prizes won by Jews is nothing short of amazing. There are less than 12 Million Jews in the entire world yet they have received 185 Nobel Prizes. Most of them were in Physics and Medicine, through which they have blessed all of mankind.
There are more than 1.4 billion Muslims yet they have won only 9 prizes and most of them were for literature most of which would be of interest only to Muslims.
Muslims outnumber Jews 117 to 1 yet Jews have won the prize 20 to 1. In order to equal the Jews blessing to the world based on the Nobel factor, Muslims would have to have won more than 2000 Nobel prizes. But they won only 9.
So judge for yourself if God’s prediction came true.
Who has the right to sell the Land of Israel to the Muslims?
God says in Lev 25:23, speaking to the Jewish People, “The Land shall not be sold forever: for the Land is Mine.” God owns the Land of Israel and has entrusted it to his Chosen people, Israel. I know that the Israelis have not been perfect and certainly most of them do not follow the God of the Land. I also know that according to Bible prophecy they have been scattered throughout the Nations. But, they are still God’s People and they always will be. And no matter what they might have done to contradict God’s laws, God’s covenant with Moses is still as valid today as it was when God made it. God does not break His Covenants.
What does God think of the nations who demand that Israel give up land for peace? It is not theirs to give. It belongs to God Almighty and those who force Israel to give that land to anyone are stealing God’s land from Him and cursing Israel at the same time.
The United States and all the other nations of this world have cursed Israel and consequently brought God’s judgment upon themselves. I absolutely believe that the current world financial crisis is a direct result of God’s judgment for what the world has done, and is doing, to Israel.
Please let me repeat “I will bless them that bless thee and curse him that curses thee.”
We all believe in the law of gravity. That’s why we know we can’t jump out of a building and fly to the ground. If we can believe in that why is it so hard for us to believe other laws that God has set into motion. The law of blessing and cursing is just as tangible as the law of gravity. God made both of them. And there’s more to come. The Bible says that God will judge the Nations who divide His Land. In Joel chapter 3 (NIV) we read
1 “In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, 2 I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them
concerning my inheritance, my people Israel, for they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.”
It is interesting to note that the valley of Jehoshaphat runs beside the walls of Jerusalem and the name means “Adonai will Judge” (Adonai means Lord in Hebrew). God restored the fortunes of His people when He caused them to return to the Land after 2000 years of wandering. The United States forced the Oslo Accord and that led to the division of the land of Israel. If the U.S. does not change course in the very near future and return to being a supporter of Israel we will be judged by Almighty God for dividing His Land.
Who owns Jerusalem?
Islam claims all of Jerusalem because they claim Mohammed went to heaven from there. Not only did this not happen but Mohammed never set foot in Jerusalem
. They made up the story of his journey to heaven because they were determined to take God’s Holy City for themselves. They wanted to destroy the roots of Judaism and Christianity all in one blow. They have never had any right to any part of Jerusalem except as temporary conquerors. They built two shrines to their false god right on top of the ruins of God’s Holy Temple and they remain there today in defiance of the One True God.
God says no less than five times in scripture that he has written his name on the city of Jerusalem. This is why Jerusalem was chosen as the eternal and undivided capital of the Land of Israel. It has been Israel’s capital for almost 3000 years. The only other peoples to claim Jerusalem were the Muslims, the Crusaders, and the British and none of them lasted very long. Jews have lived in the Holy city for 3000 years and they are the only rightful inhabitants to this day. King David bought the Temple mount and there his son Solomon built the first Temple. David did not take it in battle. He bought it to make sure no one else could claim it. Here is what the Bible says about this city. I wish our President would read it.
And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light alway before me in Jerusalem , the city which I have chosen me to put my name there. 1 Kings 11:36And he built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD said, In Jerusalem will I put my name. 2 Kings 21:4And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house, of which the LORD said to David, and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever: 2 Kings 21:7But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel . 2 Chronicles 6:6 Also he built altars in the house of the LORD, whereof the LORD had said, In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever. 2 Chronicles 33:4
The United States joined all of the other nations who had Embassies in Jerusalem in moving them to Tel Aviv after the Israeli victory in 1967 that united the country. This was a cowardly act in which the United States turned her back on Israel and God and sided with God’s enemies, the rulers of Islam. Of course. the move was actually made by the pro-Muslim State Department and the Congress and President had no say in the matter.
In 1995 the United States Congress enacted a law demanding that the embassy be moved from Tel Aviv back to the capital of Israel thus agreeing that Jerusalem is the capital. But the law allowed the president the ability to delay the move for a period of six months if national security concerns warranted it. Thus the Congress played right into the hands of our Muslim enemies. On the one hand they said, “We know what is right.” On the other hand, they said, “But if you Muslims scream loud enough, we will not act on our conscience.” Obviously, if that is the benchmark, the embassy will never be moved. But if the American people screamed loud enough the government would have to do the right thing.
The last three presidents were too weak to sign that bill into law. Three men who took the oath of office and swore to serve this nation under God have committed the most terrible treason because they have refused to allow God’s will to be done. Clinton refused to sign it. Bush refused and now, of course, Obama has refused. All of them have bowed to the Muslim will instead of the will of the American people whom they are supposed to serve.
In December 2009 US President Barack Obama again invoked a six-month delay on the move of the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem
. Yes, your President, the one who held a Bible at his inauguration, would rather obey the Muslim leaders than God. He bowed down in front of the “king” of Saudi Arabia, but he refuses to bow to the God Almighty.
And what about Gaza?
God says in Joshua 15:47 that Gaza belongs to the Tribe of Judah
. Because the American government forced Prime Minister Sharon to give Gaza to the enemy there are no members of the tribe of Judah left in Gaza today. How dare the United States defy God so batently?
All of the Jewish population of Gaza was forced to leave on August 22 2005
The Bible says that God is slow to anger however, as American plans for stealing Gaza unfolded God was preparing a little surprise off the coast of Africa. The little surprise grew in size and power as it headed towards the United States.
The day after the completion of the Gaza evacuation, the government of the Bahamas issued a tropical storm warning. By Wednesday, August 24 at 11 am, the newly formed tropical depression was upgraded to Tropical Storm Katrina; and by Thursday, August 25 at 5 pm, Katrina became a hurricane. In a period of only 72 hours, tropical depression 11 developed and hit southeast Florida (the only area untouched by the past six hurricanes) as a hurricane.
Hurricane Katrina is now expected to be the costliest weather related disaster in U.S. history. It was devastating in intensity and size. If it hadn’t been for a last minute break in the eye-wall it would have very likely destroyed the city of New Orleans and cost hundreds of billions of dollars.Residents of Gaza were forced to leave their homes by the authorities.Residents of New Orleans were forced to leave their homes by the authorities.
Residents of Gaza left their homes not knowing if they would ever return. Residents of New Orleans left their homes not knowing if they would ever return
All of the Israeli homes in Gaza were destroyed. Many of the homes in New Orleans were destroyed.
Gaza cemeteries had to be evacuated because Muslims would have desecrated the corpses. They destroyed all of the synagogues left behind as it was.
Graves in New Orleans were under water and the coffins with their remains were moved by the flood waters.
8,500 Jews were forced to leave their homes in Gaza.850,000 people had to leave New Orleans.
That’s one hundred to one.
This is not the end of this article. It will be in four parts. Of course I am anticipating the howls of rage from Muslims and others who do not believe in God and all of their angry comments will be answered.
