Relax: Turkish PM says there's no Islamic terrorism

Note:  I woke up to this headline quoting the Turkish Prime Minister and felt relieve to know "there is no Islamic Terrorism".  Oh, quick, someone call America's Dept. of Defense and inform them that America can bring all her troops home - for this must mean, no Al-Queada in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq; no Islamic terrorism would also mean that organizations such as Hamas, Hezbollah have laid down their arms and recognize Israel's right to exist!  What a perfect world we are living in, now that the Turkish Prime Minister has spoken! Erdogan also famously said this about "moderate Islam": "These descriptions are very ugly, it is offensive and an insult to our religion. There is no moderate or immoderate Islam. Islam is Islam and that's it."

In this case, of course, he appears to be saying that the terrorists are twisting and hijacking Islam, but he could also mean that what the jihadis are doing is not terrorism. "Turkish Premier Erdogan: There Is No Islamic Terrorism," from APA, April 13:

Erdogan attended opening of Ali Vural Ak Global Islam Studies Center established at the George Mason University in Washington, D.C. and deliver a speech on "the Alliance of Civilizations as Vision of Global Peace".

"Islam and terrorism cannot be mentioned together, because they are contradictory to each other," he said.

Islam says that if a person kills another, it would meant that he/she killed all humanity, Erdogan said....

That is, if a person kills an innocent person (Qur'an 5:32). -
