The House that Jack Built ....

It is a cumulative tale that does not tell the story of Jack, who builds a house,
but instead shows how the house is indirectly linked to numerous things and people,

"And this house is indirectly linked to numerous things and people"
And these are the people who live in the house,
and we know as much about them as we know about "Jack" ....

We only learn from the old nursery rhyme that Jack was a man "all tattered and torn".  I would say that describes this president.  It matters not how many lavish world-wide vacations, golf excursions, fancy parties, expensive wardrobes this couple indulges in, for two and a half years into his presidency, Obama is a man "tattered and torn".

Take a look at this brief article: "The Obama Revolution: Paid For By the People - A Commentary from the Wall Street Journal - Friday, February 17, 2009 and posted on Crooked Politicians:
In the closing weeks of last year's election campaign, we wrote that Democrats had in mind the most sweeping expansion of government in decades. Liberals clucked, but it turns out even we've been outbid. With yesterday's fiscal 2010 budget proposal, President Obama is attempting not merely to expand the role of the federal government but to put it in such a dominant position that its power can never be rolled back. The first point to understand is the sheer magnitude of federal spending built into this proposal. As the nearby chart shows, federal outlays will soar in fiscal 2009 to $4 trillion, or 27.7% of GDP, from $3 trillion or 21% of GDP in 2008, and 20% in 2007. This is higher as a share of the economy than any year since 1945, when the country was still mobilized for World War II. It is more spending by far than during the Vietnam War, or during the recessions of 1974-75 or 1981-82.Read more ....
and the comment to the above news,
My Comment: The people voted for President Obama and a full Democrat Senate/House. They have a mandate to do what they want .... and they will. Trust me .... they will.   The key for the Republicans is to position themselves to provide alternative viewpoints, philosophies, and policies. But at the moment .... they are providing very little if any alternatives .... and what they are providing are just tweaks to what the Democrats are legislating. If this continues, the Republicans will be toast (again) in 2010.  If you want my opinion .... The Wall Street Journal's commentary is right .... but I know that no one is listening. They will only start to listen when the cost to the American taxpayer starts to be felt .... which I predict will be in 2011-2012.
The Republicans did not become "toast" in 2010 - the people sent a message to the White House loud and clear, that business cannot continue as usual.  However, during those first two years, many things were done and bills passed with the aid of a "full" Democrat Senate/House.  So much, it may take America years to recover.  Up and until the voters gave their votes of concern in Nov., 2011, what is demonstrated is the people sitting in the White House had numerous people linked to their every move and voted against the will of the people, to implement an un-Constitutional tagged "Obamacare"; Cap and Trade, so unpopular, could just be pushed into the EPA's hands;   and how about that Stimulus Package?!  All with the blessings of a Democrat Senate/House.

And so, when a fellow named Jack sends me a letter crying that poor Obama isn't allowed to do anything because Congress won't allow this president  to proceed on his deadly road to nowhere, I hear the sounds of a  typical liberal who speaks before remembering just how Congress had allowed Obama's every wish to be fulfilled, even if it took passing a bill at the stroke of midnight on Christmas Eve.  Just as Obama loves to point the finger and play the "blame" game, so do his followers.

Since the majority of Americans voted in Nov. 2012, there is a new Congress in town. A Congress demanding that the president answer for some of his most recent actions, such as, by-passing Congress to enter into Libya's civil war. But that is just the tip of the iceberg and for more, please read: "Obama's High Crimes and Misdemeanors: Gunwalker, Illegal Gambling and Libya" posted on Israpundit.  Another instance of Obama ignoring Congress can be found here.

The White House is linked to numerous people - true!  However,  there are issues that must fall directly on the Commander-in-Chief's shoulders.

The White House was not built by Jack - its foundations rest upon the solid rock of the U.S. Constitution.  It is the "people's" house and Americans expect whoever lives in their house to live by the same rules and laws of previous presidents.  I remember a president who was forced to resign due to decisions that brought him onto a crooked path - the house was not crooked, but the man was weak and thought he had the power to over-ride common decency and righteousness.  He forgot he was elected to represent ALL the people. His crime is known as "Watergate". Presidents are answerable to the people, even when they don't know Jack.
