Border adjustment suggestion for Obama

There was a huge celebration at Iolani Palace when Hawaii became the 50th State of the union in August of 1959. Thousands of people turned out for Hawaii's first statehood day celebration. Nearly 50 years later there isn't much celebration except for the closing of most state and county government agencies. Hawaii should celebrate this important holiday like how it was first observed all those years ago.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

Border adjustment suggestion for Obama

THE WASHINGTON TIMES
7:56 p.m., Monday, June 13, 201

Using President Obama’s own suggestion to Israeli Prime MinisterBenjamin Netanyahu that Israel adjust its borders to pre-1967 terms, Mr. Obama could do the United States a great service by readjusting American borders.
I suggest that the president return America to its Aug. 20, 1959, borders so that Hawaii is no longer a state and Mr. Obama is thus no longer a citizen.

Note:
Since there "isn't much celebration" in Hawaii nearly 50 years later, my guess is there is not much to celebrate, knowing Hawaii is responsible for the regrettable "state" of our country under the Obama administration.
