PA: Arab States Cut Off Our Cash

The General Accountant of the Palestinian Authority, Yusef Al-Zumar, said Monday that the PA is having difficulty paying its employees because Arab states are not giving it the financial aid that they promised it.
In 2010, he said, the PA only received $280 million of the $960 million promised by the Arabs. In 2011, which is almost half over, it has received no money at all.
Al-Zumar spelled out his woes in a meeting Monday that included Ali Al-Jarbawi, the PA’s Minister for Administrative Planning and Development, and Mariam Sherman, the World Bank Director in the PA
Al-Jarbawi told Sherman that the PA would continue to build institutions of government with the Bank’s help.
PA Prime Minister Salam Fayyad said last year that the PA received $1.2 billion in foreign aid in 2010 and that this aid is expected to drop further in 2011 to $1 billion. The financial aid comes from United States, Japan, Canada, Norway, Germany, Sweden, Spain and France. The European Union , with a budget in 2010 equivalent to about $370 million.
The EU last year after it spent 50% of the cash that was allotted for the entire year, in just three months. Since the signing of the Oslo Accords, the PA has been the entity receiving the highest foreign aid per capita in the world.

Note:
How can we ever forget that lovely "beer summit" at the White House with Gates and Crowley; everyone sitting around the picnic table, drinking beer and discussion "misunderstandings". Well, seems to be another "misunderstanding", only this time between the Arab states and the Palestinians. Oops!
Does anyone have any idea exactly how much "aid" the U.S. has given the Palestinians? I'm not talking about the aid from the U.S. to have Dayton's boys train Palistanian (Dayton-photo) forces - that aid is separate from the "aid" the U.S. gifts to the Palestinians yearly under so-called "Humanitarian" aid. Sure would be interesting to have Congress go over the books and explain to the American people exactly how all this "aid" to the Palestinians/Hamas is in the interest of the United States. Especially since Hamas/Gaza is united with the PA's these days.
Since this administration is not the kindest towards Israel, I've often wondered if Obama feels obligated to hand the State of Israel on a silver platter over to the Palestinians due to the amount of money the U.S. has invested in this rag-tag outfit called the PLO's/PA's/Hamas organization.
Now, it may be wise to cut our losses and stop handing out Welfare checks to the Palestinians, including that military training, since terrorists don't need training in how to murder Jews and Israelis. May also be wise to stop the aid to an organization that doesn't know how to handle its finances, or manage on its own without its hands out to the UN and USA for an allowance. I stopped handing out allowances to my children when they became old enough to earn money on their own.
So, I think a "Beer Summit" is in order! Obama needs to invite all those Arab states to the White House and find a way to get them to assist financially their own brothers, the Arab Palestinians! After all, if their own family cannot help them out, please explain to the U.S. and Israel why this has become Obama's "Number One" priority. Yes, Obama also thinks Israel should support the PA's ... take a look at this one (below):
Obama Administration Undecided on Palestinian Aid,
but Unhappy With Israel for Withholding Funds
This administration feels it is America's and Israel's responsibility to support the Palestinians and I think there must be a serious misunderstanding, since the Arabs are refusing to support the PA's!! This should be settled immediately, at the next Beer Summit held in Washington, DC - White House front lawn.
