During the past few weeks, a coalition of anti-Israel groups announced they would be holding a rally on Sunday in San Diego's Balboa Park to commemorate the second anniversary of "Cast Lead", IDF's anti-terror operation in Gaza. The military operation was defined by the organizers of the protest as "the massacre of Palestinians by the Israel Defense Forces during the war in Gaza,"
In response to the planned demonstration, a coalition of citizens who "support Israel's right to exist and defend herself from terrorism" decided to hold a counter protest at the spot, "We were determined not to let hateful propaganda go unanswered" the explained.
As seen in the following video, the presence of the counter-protestors was significant, "The hateful chants of the anti-Israel demonstrators were answered with songs of peace and with joyous dancing" said the organizers "On this day truth and peace trumped hate and propaganda."
