The Eve of Sharia
The Arab world it is exploding,
Violence flaring, voices goading.
They're tired of their tyrants;
They want their "freedom".
Re Ben Ali and Mubarak
They say, "Hey, we don't need 'em."
But lurking in the wings
And imams and ayatollahs are the ones
They pick to lead 'em.
But you tell me over and over and over
Again my friend
That you don't believe we're on the eve of sharia.
