In response to Qassam rockets and mortar shells being fired at Israel's southern communities, the Israeli Air Force struck two terror-linked sites in the Gaza Strip

These terror-linked sites were targeted in response rockets being fired at Israel's southern communities over the past 72 hours. Since Friday evening (Jan. 7), three Qassam rockets and five mortar shells were launched from the Gaza Strip at Sha'ar Ha-Negev, Eshkol and Sdot Negev Regional Councils, injuring three civilians altogether.

The IDF holds the Hamas terrorist organization solely responsible for maintaining the calm in the Gaza Strip and for any terrorist activity emanating from it. The IDF will also continue to respond harshly to any attempt to use terror against the State of Israel.
