Signs like this are common in the streets of Cairo. It's not enough that Mubarak is a dictator but to truly demonize him a Star of David is superimposed to identify him with Jews/Israel.
It seems all but certain that Hosni Mubarak will relinquish the reins of power and cruise into comfortable exile, either in London or Saudi Arabia.
If you're anticipating a transition to Jeffersonian democracy in Egypt, well, don't hold your breath.
Mohamed El Baradei, former head of the IAE, who used his tenure to shield Iran's nuclear program, is in negotiations with the Muslim Brotherhood, the Islamist group that gave birth to Hamas, Hizbullah and Al Quaeda.
Here's a statement by the Muslim Brotherhood on their goals:
The Ikhwan [religious militia] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and 'sabotaging' its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions.
Don't forget that it was the Muslim Brotherhood who assassinated Anwar Sadat. His crime? Making peace with Israel.
El Baradei presents himself as a moderate, but he defends the Muslim Brotherhood, and has long been a bitter foe of Israel. And it's well known in the streets of Cairo that the Muslim Brotherhood has been financing El Baradei's campaign.
What's probably going to happen in Egypt follows a familiar pattern which we have seen in Iran, Gaza, Algeria, and is now unfolding in Lebanon. A regime is overthrown by a sudden and popular uprising. The left, the moderates and the Islamists work together for a while to form a unity government, and then the Islamists turn on their allies, slaughter them, and impose an Islamic Republic.
In Tunisia, the long exiled Islamist leader Rachid Ghanouchi, has just returned to cheering mobs of devoted followers. Eventually, Tunisia will fall into the Islamist orbit.
Keep an eye on Jordan where the Hashemites rule an uneasy and resentful population made up of over 80% Palestinians. King Abdullah doesn't even speak Arabic with a proper desert accent—he was educated in America's Deerfield Academy and Oxford, England. Thus he's viewed as something of a foreigner. Meanwhile, Queen Rania spends money on a jet set life style that ordinary Jordanians bitterly resent.
Syria is making noises about more freedom but Assad's brutal police state makes Egypt look like Sesame Street. There's a big difference between authoritarian rulers like Mubarak and totalitarian monsters like Assad.
The Saudis are, no doubt, shaking in their boots. Iranian influence is spreading like a cancer and America, under Obama, is absolutely clueless and useless in checking the ascendancy of the jihadists. When Obama gave his dopey kumbaya speech in Egypt, the first few rows of VIP seats were occupied by, you guessed it, the Muslim Brotherhood. No doubt, the jihadists chuckled in glee at Obama's hopeless naivete. As Daniel Greenfield astutely points out, Obama has lost the Middle East.
No matter what happens, one thing is certain: Israel/Jews will be blamed for, well, anything and everything. The George Soros funded Media Matters has unleashed their chief Jewish Jew-hater M.J. Rosenberg, blaming “media owning Jews, the Israel lobby, and AIPAC” for the instability in Egypt.
