At Vatican, bishops call for legal steps against Israeli occupation

25 October 2010

Pope Benedict XVI has urged Israelis and Palestinians to push for peace in the Middle East and not to give up hope of a settlement. Closing the two-week-long synod of Middle Eastern bishops in Rome, the pope declared: "Peace is also the best remedy to avoid the emigration from the Middle East." In its closing document, the synod called on the international community to take "the necessary legal steps to put an end to the occupation of the different Arab territories". Israel, the declaration stated, should not use the Bible to justify "injustices" against the Palestinians. The gathering also repeated a Vatican call for Jerusalem to have a special status “which respects its particular character” as a city sacred to the three great monotheistic religions.
While recognizing “the suffering and insecurity in which Israelis live” and the need for Israel to enjoy peace within internationally recognized borders, the document said Palestinians “are suffering the consequences of the Israeli occupation: the lack of freedom of movement, the wall of separation and the military checkpoints, the political prisoners, the demolition of homes, the disturbance of socio-economic life and the thousands of refugees.”
The Lebanese-born Bishop Cyril Salim Bustros, who headed the synod’s Commission for the Presentation of the Message, told a press conference at the Vatican: “The Holy Scriptures cannot be used to justify the return of the Jews to Israel and the displacement of the Palestinians, to justify the occupation by Israel of Palestinian lands. […] We Christians cannot speak of the ‘promised land’ as an exclusive right for a privileged Jewish people. This promise was nullified by Christ. There is no longer a chosen people – all men and women of all countries have become the chosen people.”
Palestinians seized on the Synod’s declaration as evidence of the "moral and legal" justification for an independent Palestinian state. "We join the synod in their call to the international community to uphold the universal values of freedom, dignity and justice," chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat said. According to the French news agency AFP, Erekar said Christians were "an integral part" of the Palestinian people and blamed Israel for their emigration from the region.
Israel’s Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Ayalon reacted angrily to the synod’s final communiqué: "We express our disappointment that this important synod has become a forum for political attacks on Israel in the best history of Arab propaganda. The synod was hijacked by an anti-Israel majority," he said in a statement. Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor called it absurd that the Jewish state was singled out for condemnation by the bishops since Israel was the only country in the region where Christians were actually thriving. According to statistics, there were some 151,700 Christians in Israel last year, compared with 132,000 in 1999 and 107,000 two decades ago. Palmor also criticized the bishops' statement that Israel shouldn't use the Bible. "This has never been a policy of any government in Israel, so this position sounds particularly hollow," he was quoted by the news agency AP as saying. "Let he who has never sinned cast the first stone."
The meeting at the Vatican was attended by nearly 200 participants, including nine patriarchs of the ancient Christian churches in the Middle East and representatives from 13 other Christian communities. A rabbi and two Muslim clerics also addressed the synod.

My notes:

Such deception!  This announcement from the Vatican just took humanity back to the early 1930's!

There are comments on the World Jewish Congress that demonstrate the feelings of Jews who read this latest announcement from the Vatican.  Below, I list three comments:

I wanna first comment on this quote " I quote (his promise was nullified by Christ. There is no longer a chosen people – all men and women of all countries have become the chosen people.”) I hear snake speaking. I hope you hear yourself. Let me tell you who is our enemy? "Our enemies" from the Hebraice stand point, are therefore, those who try to separate us - and any other of HaShem's household, from true relationship with HaShem, and correct perspective on who He is, and what He wants to do it and through our lives " There is always some truth behind every deception. It is those who cannot and will not acknowledge, accept, or tolerate our covenant connection with HaShem.
 1. It is those who rejected intimacy with HaShem time after time after time have reduced spiritual life to a list of do's and don'ts,Theologians and doctrinal statements, have hardend their hearts against Him and everyone associated with Him.
 2. Most dangerous enemies: -are very, very religious people - people who belong to the religious "mainstreams." "if they persecuted Me, they will persecute you also Quote Mashiach.
Do not get too comfortable in any religious mainstream. And remember, RCC and Islam is the something. You vote for devil in blue or you vote for devil in green, but is the some thing.

The two major religions standing in conflict with the Jews both started out usurping our Family Writings and traditions, claiming that they have new revelation from G-d, and know better what they mean, who they are for, and that the family from whose tradition the writings originated is now obsolete. We must be obsolete, must be removed from the scene, because our very presence in the world stands as G-d's rejection of their claims, and thus nullifies their basic claim of eternal security due to their beliefs. Another aspect of both groups is the need to propagate and spread their influence, because only in complete victory and control of the world will their vindication be proved out. So actually, it's all very logical.

We shall take into consideration the Bishop Cyril Salim Bustros lebanise background, which makes his opinion is fake and lie. He is a typical islamofascist prostitute and must be put on trial as he deserves death penalty.

In compliance with the 1920 League of Nations Resolution, two-state solution was implemented in 1922 when british administration of occupied Israel allocated more than 70% of Israel territory to palestinian arabs and created Transjordan (now Jordan) where today over 90 percent of the population identify themselves as Palestinian Arabs. Every party, including UN, EU, US, etc., must respect League of Nations Resolutions, adopted and accepted by UN. Therefore, all so called "palestinians" must be relocated there. Enough stealing Israel land. Britain and Jordan must compensate Israel for stolen land and natural resources.

History of "palestinians":

Article 24 of the 1964 PLO Charter addressed to UN stipulates: "Palestinian muslims do not claim West Bank (Judea and Samaria) and Gaza their territories”

Arab leaders like Auni Bey Abdul-Hadi told the Peel Commission in 1937: "There is no such country as 'Palestine'; 'Palestine' is a term the Zionists invented!"

In 1946, Arab historian Philip Hitti testified before the Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry that "there is no such thing as Palestine in history.”

In 1947, Arab leaders protesting the UN partition plan argued that Palestine was part of Syria and “politically, the Arabs of Palestine (were) not (an) independent separate … political entity.”

An executive committee member of the PLO Zahir Muhsein confirmed that there is no such thing as a separate “palestinian” people of Arab descent. In an interview with the Dutch newspaper Trouw in March 31, 1977, he stated the following: "The palestinian people do not exist. The creation of a palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity.”

Western media, specifically European, must stop broadcasting and publishing fraudulent, fake, false, and lie information on Israel and Jews. Current situation, specifically in Europe, is quite similar to 1930s, however, we, Jews, learned our lessons and will not hesitate to give appropriate response to any mortal attacks on us.

Lastly, but not least, I will ask one question I had asked here a few days ago, when this announcement first appeared in the News:
Does the Vatican recognize the State of Israel as a Jewish State?
I believe we have our answer today - a clear and loud "No"!  and to think, Israel had enough on her plate with the Muslims wanting to split her land into pieces; with the madman in Iran threatening to push Israel into the sea!; with the Palestinians shooting and bombing Israeli civilians; murdering pregnant mother of eight children along a dark Israeli highway; and the shame of this world, including the Vatican, that does not cry out in righteous outrage at the sins of mankind, against the Jews and Israel.
Now, the Vatican joins hands with the Muslims - for both make the same false claims, while ignoring the history of the Jews and the Land of Israel; spreading propaganda, and making demands that would cover the eyes of the King of Israel in heaven Above and upon the earth.
Did the Vatican sit and wait until now to approach this issue, thinking that it now had the backing of the United Nations, to force upon the State of Israel more condemnation and indignation against Israel than one tiny nation could bare upon its shoulders?  Is this the last straw that breaks the back of a camel?
Harldy!  Israel and the Jews have survived against many a nation that sought her total destruction and we have one promise from the One Above - it will continue to thrive and blossom as a rose, no matter who stands against her.  May the world hear the lion roar!

Shalom!  Great peace and joy within and for all Israel.  Amen!
