Where were you, dear American, on September 11, 2001?
It was called a "Day of Infamy" - the morning of September 11, 2001. The sky was clear in New England and the day had the promise of being sunny and warm - a promise of a perfect September morning.
An elderly lady remembered that morning as one similar to the day Pearl Harbor was hit many years ago. She was speaking to her daughter on the phone and the daughter waited, while her mother wept, before responding to her mother's last comment - we were never hit on our own soil, she had said. "Who could have done this to us? Why would they want to attack us? Is it over, or are there going to be more planes hitting us today?"
So many questions the dear lady was asking her daughter, but before the daughter could answer, the phone line went dead. All phone lines were busy, as loved ones were trying to reach family members that morning.
Meanwhile, the daughter was preparing to drive to the hospital, where her husband was recovering from heart surgery. She thought about her frightened mother, living a state away and hoped someone would comfort her mother. When she arrived at the hospital, the nurses were surrounding the small TV in her husband's room; tears were flowing from everyone's eyes and no one was saying a word - silence filled the hospital room, while her husband was asleep.
The skies were silent by the end of the day. No flights allowed across America's skies.
America was in shock.
Next month will mark the "9th" Anniversary since that fateful day. Unlike the saying "time heals all wounds" this one is festering, and American troops still fighting against Islamic terrorism. The flags that flew on almost every American home have either been removed, or appear quite faded. The yellow ribbons are no longer displayed on vehicles to support the troops; and while Americans support the troops, more and more long for the day when all troops come home from the foreign, Muslim countries where their sons and daughters, husbands and wives are baring America's burden to keep America safe from this War on Terrorism.
Why has it taken so long for this war to cease? Will it ever end? Will Americans ever feel safe again? Only those who have caused this war can answer, but since their ideology allows for lying to the "infidels", do not expect a truthful response, nor can we any time soon expect an end to this war on terrorism, caused by an ideology that believes all non-Muslims should either die or become slaves to their way of life.
Our leaders have over the years attempted to pacify the terrorist - to no avail. Car bombers, attempts to bomb planes, and soldiers murdered by the hands of their Officer who followed the teachings of Islam demonstrate that America is in this war for many years to come and while some of America's leaders show a great display of having all the answers for peace in the Middle East, they cannot bring peace within America's own borders.
Today, August 3rd, was another black day for America. The same Islamic ideology that enabled men to attack America on Sept. 11th, have now been given the go ahead to build a Mosque on the very area where almost 3,000 Americans died from the burning, crumbling towers in New York City.
Some would like to accuse those in opposition of being racist. Islam is not a race, therefore we cannot be racist. Islam does not recognize the Constitution of the United States. Islam and it organizations within America have NEVER apologized for the tragedy caused by Islam's teachings (kill all infidels) and yet, Islam expects America to remain silent while they make a mockery of our dead, by planting the seeds of Islam at Ground Zero.
Yet, in nine years, not one memorial or building has been planted to remember Sept. 11th at Ground Zero. Not a church, not a memorial park, nothing! Zero! But a Mosque will be up before the Tenth Anniversary of September 11th. How is this possible?
Where were you on September 11th?
Would you consider calling, faxing or emailing your Representatives and Congressmen and women and demand that this foolishness cease. American pride should step forward and refuse to allow radical Islam the opportunity of insulting America, while Ground Zero lacks a proper Memorial for all who died Sept. 11th, including all the troops who have fought these past 9 years to protect America.
Do not allow this day to end without some type of plan to prevent September 11th to become a faded memory and replaced with a memorial for those very ones who attacked our soil that day.
Thank you,
Bee
