When I was a child attending public school in New Jersey in the 1950s, I recall history being taught starting in the fifth grade. In my article The Portuguese Reconquista and New Jersey Bookies I made note of the fact that although we were taught the names of the great Portuguese explorers such as Vasco da Gama, Pedro Alvares Cabral, and Ferdinand Magellan, we were not taught the reason why the Portuguese were able to start exploring centuries before Spain or Italy, two larger and richer countries: they got rid of their Muslims sooner.
I understand that young minds have a hard time interpreting and taking in all the complexities of names, dates, geographies, and the span of time involved and that history courses in grammar schools in my day were purposely designed to be simpler and easier to understand. The problem is that most adults never learn the more important details later in life. That is why most of the world still thinks Islam is a religion. They never learned that Islam is first and foremost a military ideology. Its holiest prophet was not a man of peace but of war. That its so-called Holy Book is in fact an army handbook detailing the subjugation, conversion, and killing of the unbelievers.
Sadly, our young children, if they are taught any history at all, may learn in class about Barbary Pirates. But they will not learn that this is PC for Muslim thugs.
It seems Obama is just as misinformed as most Americans about who we were hosting at a dinner 200 years ago. Obama wants us to believe that Sidi Soliman Mellimelli from Tunisia was the first Muslim ambassador to the United States. No, he was here to get blood money for the release of American sailors captured by Muslim pirates and to negotiate for restitution for Tunisian vessels the US captured for trying to run our blockade of Tripoli. The more cynical of my readers may say that Obama knows perfectly well that this "ambassador" was really a terrorist who came to America looking for tribute. Either way, Obama is either an uninformed moron or simply a lying traitor.
I cannot figure out which one he really is. Let me tell you why. Obama believes we can negotiate with Iran. Only an idiot or a traitor would negotiate with Iran.
First, let's suppose he's an idiot who doesn't realize that in order for negotiations to work each side has to have a reasonable goal.
The goals need not be mutual, as long as neither goal conflicts with the other. For example, the US and the Soviet Union successfully negotiated the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty in 1991 placing specific caps on each side's number of nuclear weapons. This was possible because the US wanted to stop the spread of weapons while the Soviets wanted to reduce their military expenditures because playing catch-up with the US was bankrupting them. Although each side had a different goal in mind for putting the caps in place, neither goal conflicted with the other.
Asking Iran or any other Islamic country not to obtain nuclear weapons would only work if Muslims had reasonable, civilized goals. Sadly, Islamic goals are antithetical to everything in western culture. The goal of Muslims is to impose Islam on the West. But let's suppose Obama actually brought Ahmadinejad to the negotiating table; here is how it would go:
There are liberal idiots out there who believe that a nuclear Iran poses no threat because of MAD - Mutually Assured Destruction - the deterrent that kept the US and the Soviet Union from starting a nuclear war. What these idiots do not understand is that MAD only works with reasonable human beings who want to live. For psychopathic fanatics who cannot wait to get to Paradise, MAD is not a deterrent it is an inducement. How do you negotiate that?Obama: OK, what can we do to persuade you to drop your nuclear ambitions?Ahmadinejad: Surrender or die.Obama: Surrender? Hmmm. We might have enough Democrats in Congress to make that possible. But suppose I can't convince the rest of the country to surrender?Ahmadinejad: Convert or die.Obama: Conversion? I'm afraid that is not reasonable. see here - don't you have a specific goal in mind?Ahmadinejad: Allah be praised, yes: we wish the glorious thing that gives instant entrance to Paradise.Obama: The glorious thing? Like what?Ahmadinejad: Like a nuclear holocaust; but a real holocaust where all people die - not the fake one Jews always whine about.Obama: But then all Muslims will die as well.Ahmadinejad: So what is your point?Obama: But what good can come of the death of all mankind?Ahmadinejad: Allah will sort it out. Muslims will enter Paradise and the unbelievers will be roasting in the fires of Hell. There are too many rocks and trees for Jews to hide behind - but with an atomic bomb there will be no shelter for the Jew. The Sunnah tells us: "The Day of Resurrection will not arrive until the Muslims make war against the Jews and kill them." Who am I to dispute with our holy prophet (PBUH)?Obama: That's crazy talk. Look, be reasonable. Either you stop your nuclear program or there will be consequences.Ahmadinejad: Like what?Obama: I'll huff and I'll puff...Ahmadinejad: Bring it on.
If Obama is not an idiot and knows the truth, that one cannot negotiate with Iran to get them to stop their nuclear program, but still insists we should negotiate anyway, then he knows the only outcome will be a nuclear Iran. But only someone who purposely wants to destroy our country would do that.
Like I said, 'hes either an idiot or a traitor. I just don't KNOW WHICH.

My notes/response:
The article of Planck's Constant and the E-mail from one of my friends living in Israel are asking the same question: "Who is this President Obama?" "What does he stand for?" "Why or how has American become so distant from friends and allies, while apologizing to the Muslim world for America - both past and present?"
Is Obama simply ignorant? A traitor to the ideals, morals, history and Constitution of America, since its foundation?
America's only recourse is to study the backgrounds of future men and women we wish to represent our country and then, VOTE this coming November. Bring our country back from the pits of destruction that our present "leaders" in Washington, DC have led Americans. And pray!
