DEAN MARTIN - THAT'S AMORE'
Dear Readers,
With the stars shining, flag waving, and the best friends anyone could ever wish for, one of my friends was kind enough to design a logo for my blog. Now, that just makes me smile all over, as the logo is exactly what I had hope would connect America with Israel.
I chose "stars" for the background in order to bring attention to America, as a reminder of the stars on our flag; and a reminder that in the scheme of things, we are quite small compared to the creation of all things throughout the universe and even smaller, when we look up to the sky and think of the Creator.
The hand reaching out to us is the friendship and loyalty of Israel, our dearest friend who shines like the stars amongst so many who wish to do her harm. A tiny piece of property compared to other countries, but oh how she knows how to live for others and give to the world remarkable, amazing gifts in all fields that enable each of us to live a more productive life.
The song I have included is an old song that always made me smile. It is a reminder of my husband's Italian background and the love he has shared with me for many years - yes, "many"! We have lived long enough to see the changes take place in America that are both good and some, not so good! Our contentment rests in the love of God, our family and our country and compared to that, politics is a small part of our lives.
However, since we wish the best for our grandchildren and their children, we find ourselves in a position where we recognize that silence is not always "golden" and due to the changes taking place by our leaders in Washington, this blog is just a simple way for one American to present issues that are of interest to me and my friends.
Yes, we are very concerned about the un-Constitutional, progressive, socialist agenda of this Administration; yes, I am concerned about Obamacare, Stimulus packages, bailouts and if my grandchildren will ever experience the same freedoms I enjoyed as a child. But the main interest of mine happens to center around our foreign policies and the unbelievable, unacceptable Anti-Israeli attitude from this president and his administration.
Which is why, while stars still shine, and sun rises and sets each day, laughter and the love of family are all the cement that keeps each of us "glued together", this blog is my contribution for the sake of staying awake and recognizing that there are issues that should involve each of us, to keep America safe and secure, while reaching our hands across the pond, to our friends - "Hello, Israel", dear friends.
Enjoy the song and have a great week,
Bee
