CAIRO (AP) — The Libyan organizers of an aid ship trying to breach Israel's three-year blockade of Gaza say an Israeli military vessel has confronted the ship and ordered it to change course for the Egyptian
 port of el-Arish.

The Gadhafi International Charity and Development Foundation says its boat refused to alter its destination and will steam on for Gaza.

The foundation said in a statement posted on its website Tuesday that the Israeli vessel continues to shadow the aid ship.

The crew of the Amalthea was warned to change course but has so far not responded, an Israeli Defense Force spokesman confirmed to AFP.

The foundation's boat left Greece Saturday with 2,000 tons of food and medical supplies. Organizers say they hope to reach Gaza Wednesday.

The trip comes more than a month after Israeli naval commandos boarded a flotilla of Gaza-bound ships, killing nine activists.
