Obama’s Dangerous Worldview

Quote of the week: "What a pathetic narcissistic dweeb."

ISRAPUNDIT

Laura: Our clueless president sees this as an opportunity to make peace in the Middle East. You have to just shake your head in disbelief that this is what the supposed leader of the free world has to say after muslim jihadists, sponsored by NATO ally turkey, attacked Israel on the high seas. Essentially turkey committed an act of war against Israel. Turkey has placed itself on the side of the iran, syria, hezbollah axis of evil. Has obama even noticed? The forces of islamic jihad are gathering strength globally and becoming more emboldened. Iran is marching unimpeded towards acquiring nuclear weapons capability. We couldn’t be in a more perilous situation. And obama sees this as an opportunity to make peace.

Obama: Use flotilla tragedy as an opportunity to make peace in Middle East

World Jewish Congress

04 June 2010

Speaking on US television, President Barack Obama has said that despite the raid by Israel on the flotilla attempting to reach Gaza, the peace process had to continue. Although Israel had “legitimate security concerns” about the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip, he added that the blockade of Gaza was “preventing people from pursuing economic opportunities.” In an interview on CNN’s show ‘Larry King Live’ [watch excerpts here] Obama described this week’s flotilla incident as a “tragic situation” but also said it needed to be used as an opportunity to advance the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. “The status quo is unsustainable… We’ve got to have a situation where the Palestinians have an opportunity.”  (What world does Obama live in?!)

The Obama administration has taken a cautious line while Israel faces international condemnation over the deaths of nine activists. US officials have said the incident underscored the need to make progress in indirect peace talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority which began last month but have so far failed to make much headway. (No, the Obama administration has once again turned PM Netanyahu away, for fear the Muslims would think Israel is a "friend" of the U.S.)

Media reports in Israel said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is considering easing the Gaza blockade, provided Israel can continue to inspect all shipments prior to their delivery to the Gaza Strip. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and many European leaders have demanded that Israel lift the blockade immediately. The diplomatic Quartet for the Middle East peace – which includes the United Nations, the European Union, Russia, and the United States –stressed the need “to fundamentally improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza,” according to Ban.  (Q. Has Obama visited Israel since he took office? The UN is useless and votes against Israel the majority of the time; the EU - bankrupt, like the US; Russia, now there's a country that would understand human rights (sic)!)

Netanyahu on Wednesday defended the Gaza blockade, insisting that it was key in preventing weapons from reaching the Palestinian territory, where the Islamist rulers use tunnels on the Egyptian border to smuggle in weapons. “Hamas continues to arm itself, and Iran continues to transfer weapons to Hamas,” he said.

One comment on ISRAPUNDIT:
Bill Narvey says:
Obama lives in and pontificates from his loving world of his words, ideas and high aspirations. The problem is that it is not the real world, but a world of love of self.

Check this out:

In the aftermath of the fraudulent Iranian election, Obama dithered for about a week before he offered some tepid words of support for the dissident Iranians that had been clubbed and shot in the street, arrested and jailed.

By agreeing to overlook Russia and China selling arms to Iran, Obama announced he had their support for sanctions against Iran, which will be about the color or weak tea, a.k.a. dishwater, if the UN ever does bother with sanctions.

Obama said little to nothing when Russia invaded South Ossetia in Georgia and has maintained its presence since.

Obama dithered about going out to Louisiana. Excuses were made that he must be getting bad advice in realizing how bad things were and if he came there, he could realize that the devastation from the oil spill was just that – devastating. Huhhh? Regardless of what advice obama was getting, any American with a lick of sense who watched the TV coverage knew the results of the oil lead were disastrous and that disaster was growing.

Like Obama had to be there to understand that? And when he came, he sure as hell did not stay long, but rushed back to get in front of the TV to issue his outraged platitudes delivered in his melifluous voice. You don’t got to like the guy, but he sure does like himself.
We’ve got to have a situation where the Palestinians have an opportunity.”
Huh???? Maybe he means the Palestinians need to continue to be given opportunities they can reject or squander because Obama believes at some point the Palestinians just might actually accidentally capitalize on an opportunity given them.

Obama wishing and hoping for such accident to happen, sure sounds like solid policy doesn’t it?

Oh, forget it, the list just goes on and on.

What a pathetic narcissistic dweeb.
