News from Israel: "Saban: Obama administration radical leftists"

Israeli-American billionaire Haim Saban, said to be the Democrats' single biggest donor, says he is highly dismayed at the Obama administration’s approach to Israel and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

“To say I don’t sleep easily with the current administration’s relationship to Israel would be an understatement,” Saban told Channel 10’s reporter at an LA Gala dinner starring Idan Raichel and former ambassador John Bolton organized by the Israeli Leadership Council on Wednesday night.

“I’m an American now, so I don’t say everything I think, like I might have once,” he added in the footage aired by Channel 10 Thursday. Saban said he had made his concerns known to both Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, and that Emanuel had characterized himself as more hawkish than 50% of Israelis.

Saban doubted an opinion poll would bear out this estimate.

Saban stressed Obama and his administration were not, as some Israelis think, “anti-Israel."

“Obama wants to achieve peace between Israel and the Palestinians, the same thing we want,”
Saban said, just the way he was going about it was not to the taste of many in Israel. “They are leftists, really left leftists, so far to the left there’s not much space left between them and the wall,” he said of the Obama administration.

Note:  Obama wants to acheive peace "the same thing we want" is a matter of opinion and the opinion from day one is:  Obama has snubbed, mocked and ridiculed Israel and that is a fact backed up by thousands of comments by Obama, himself, along with his actions towards Israel and Prime Minister Netanyahu.  A snake may shed his skin, but he remains a snake and no amount of being "politically correct" or "diplomacy" can change Obama's character.

However, Obama may change his attitude on the surface if you hit him where it hurts most - in the pocketbook.  My suggestion to Saban would be to inform Obama and his Chicago crew that no more donations until they begin facing the real problems in the Middle East i.e. Palestinians/Arabs/Gaza and stop cutting Israel off at the legs.

However, that sounds similiar to the way Obama works, so rather than make any comments, I would just stop donating to those who do not bless Israel and find ways to promote Israel,.  For starters, I would use some of that money to  offset all the propaganda being spread throughout the world about Israel.  Call it one big campaign demonstrating Israel's contributions to the world.

If I had even a MILLION dollars, that is what I would do to help Israel.  Giving money to those who do not have Israel's best interest at heart defeats any and all contributions made to Israel.

PS: By the way, the term "radical" is used for terrorists.  Radical Islam terrorists, for example.  So, I do agree on one point, calling the Obama team  "radical" is a very good description of what they have done to America and Israel this past year and a half - very radical.  They do not use bombs - they use their power to simply erase history of America and transform it into a dictatorship, run by the most radical man who ever had the pleasure of sitting in the people's house - the White House.
