Two Katyusha rockets fired at the southern city of Eilat from Jordan landed on the Jordanian side of the border in Aqaba, Jordanian authorities confirmed on Thursday. No casualties were reported.
The IDF said it was investigating the source of the attack, stressing that there was no evidence to suggest either of the rockets hit Israeli territory.
In 2005, a rocket fired from Jordan landed next to the Eilat airport and two others missed a US Navy vessel docked at the nearby Jordanian port of Aqaba. No one was reported hurt it those attacks. A group linked with Al Qaida claimed responsibility.
