ATLAS SHRUGS
This is one bad, ugly man. That's a fact. America has no clue what she is dealing with. The President of the United States is advancing jihad against the oath of office that he took. If he is agitating Muslims against Jews, will he declare war on Israel?
It was reported over the weekend at ForeignPolicy.com that Gen. David Petraeus, head of U.S. Central Command, wanted oversight (and troops) in the West bank and Gaza. Petraeus denied this today and said he isn’t looking to add Israel to his area of responsibility, and told senators Tuesday he doesn’t think any such move is needed.
“I have never made a formal recommendation to add Israel to CENTCOM,” he told members of the Senate Armed Services Committee, “but we certainly keep a close eye there.”
Stars and Stripes on Tuesday [Wednesday for Pac] cited a report from ForeignPolicy.com over the weekend that said Petraeus had made such a request after a lengthy Jan. 16 CENTCOM briefing to Joint Chief of Staff chairman Adm. Mike Mullen.
So who dropped the story? Who is advancing that outrageous idea -- invasion of an ally? My money is on Obama (and haters like Samantha Powers.) That's how the gangsta administration operates.
PA official claims that Obama administration encouraged violent Palestinian protests against Israel JihadwatchIf this is true, could Obama possibly sink any lower? Well, he could declare war against Israel. "Shock claim: Obama encouraged Palestinian 'resistance': Violence targeting Jews aimed at pressuring Israel into splitting capital," by Aaron Klein for WorldNetDaily, March 31 (thanks to Phil):
JERUSALEM - The Obama administration has encouraged "resistance" by Palestinians to protest Israel's presence in eastern Jerusalem, a senior Palestinian Authority official claimed to WND.The senior PA official, speaking from Ramallah on condition of anonymity, said that in recent meetings with U.S. envoys to the region, the American diplomats supported and encouraged the concept of Palestinian protests to pressure Israel into evacuating eastern sections of Jerusalem.
The PA official's claim follows a meeting in Jordan last week between PA President Mahmoud Abbas and George Mitchell, Obama's envoy to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. At a press conference immediately following the meeting, Abbas declared the Palestinian "right" to "resistance" against Israel.
The U.S. has come down hard on a decision by the Jerusalem municipality to approve 1,600 new homes in Ramat Shlomo, an already-existing Jewish community in eastern Jerusalem. The decision was made public during Vice President Joe Biden's visit to the region earlier this month.
The Palestinians claim eastern Jerusalem as their future capital, while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made clear he does not intend to give up the Jewish sections of the city.
Netanyahu has stated that he had not been aware of the decision to build in Ramat Shlomo and that the announcement was not timed to coincide with Biden's visit.
Still, Obama senior adviser David Axelrod called the Ramat Shlomo announcement an "insult." Other administration officials called the Jewish neighborhood expansion an impediment to Israeli-Palestinian negotiations....

Not at all surprising or unexpected.
If the current POTUS wanted to surprise us all, he'd try to strengthen America and help Israel.

Can Obama sink any lower?
Correct answer: Yes
Yes, as bad as this is if true, Obama could sink even lower, much lower. The man is an anti-Reagan, an anti-Churchill, and so most anything is possible with him that would harm Israel, America and the West. And thanks again to all the rubes out there who voted for this turkey. Great choice.
Well, they want half of the city today, next week they'll want another third. "It's all that is required for peace" and stupid people say "Give them the half now, and we'll have peace" and when they ask for more next week give them that and we'll have peace. Peace to the West is not the same "peace" to the muslim hoards. If you and your country are not muslim, then, obviously, you do not "respect" islam. The word "respect" to a muslim is to give them everything they ask for and, after you have done that, give them your blood.
This should be on the front page of every newspaper and news hour in the country!
I hang my head in shame and sorrow
Yeah, supporting protests is going to hurt the West SO BAD.
I think you're missing a word there, buddy mo. If you want to properly respond the the headline as it actually reads, it should be:
"Yeah, supporting VIOLENT protests is going to hurt the West SO BAD."
There you go, much more accurate now!
And actually, yeah it does hurt the west.
Obama grew up in a muslims country. He had been spoonfed anti semitisim and anti Isrealisism since very young. It was no better when he was member of the radically pro palastine and anti isreali church. what you expect from him?
You've missed the point, Nimrod. Big time. Israel is the only true democracy in the Middle East and deserves American support for moral reasons as well as for many others. Moreover, anyone with half a brain should know by now that the Arab Muslim world wants NO Israel, never mind the fact that Israeli-Arabs are possessed of more freedoms than Arabs are in any Arab country. The so-called Palestinians could have had their stupid little country some sixty years ago, but since the Arab looks at compromise as he gets everything and the Jew gets nothing, the Middle East has seen misery and suffering on a very large scale, NONE of which had to happen if only the Arab Muslim world had been content to have some 13% of the original British Mandate of Palestine become the state of Israel. I lay the blame for all this stupidity and tragedy squarely on the Arab Muslim world. Done here.
This treatment of an ally is an ongoing disgrace but it will matter little when Israel attacks Iran, as they must. Barry et. al. would risk near civil war by turning their backs on Israel as I'm sure they would like to. Unfortunately Israel, as do we, must weather America's big mistake even so.
It looks to me, from what I read in the article above, that the President of the United States of America is inciting terrorists to murder people in a foreign land. Am I misreading that? Or is this a matter of Chicago-style politics-as-usual and I should just shrug?
While I don't think that Obama is capable of inciting the Fakestinians, I doubt that the Fakestinians are telling the truth in this matter. When have they ever?
Both sides are inveterate liars, but which is lying this time?
(correction)

Without a more credible scource this story should'nt be accepted as true. The Palestinians would love to further the disagreement between the Obama Admin. and Israel. What's the Israeli Press saying?
The United States doesn't rule over Israel, so what right do they have to make these demands? I hope Israel stands it's ground. They are not alone.
Next he'll be throwing stones, or maybe even behead Clinton in the Oval Office for not wearing a burkha, then claim through CAIR that it's all being taken out of context.
Re the demand to divide Jerusalem, here is a brilliant Op ed that just appeared in Jerusalem Post.
It lays out a few basic home truths about how Arab (and other) Muslims have historically treated Jerusalem, its non-Muslim inhabitants, and its non-Muslim holy places, compared to how the Jews have governed it.

"Woe will be a divided Jerusalem".
Here is the section of that essay that should be thrown in the faces of all the idiot dhimmified politicians in the EU, Australia, Canada, the USA and everywhere else:
"There is also absolutely no empirical basis to believe that Arab rulers of Jerusalem will maintain the Israeli gold standard of unimpeded religious worship in the city.
"There is no Arab or Muslim country in the Middle East where Christians or Jews can freely operate religious institutions.
"Under Palestinian Authority and Hamas rule, Christians in the West Bank and Gaza have been hounded, terrorized and driven out. Christian Bethlehem is, effectively, no more. The Church of Nativity was defiled by Palestinian Muslim terrorists who turned it into an armed refuge in 2002.
"Who will protect the churches of Jerusalem from the same fate under Islamic rule?
"JEWISH SYNAGOGUES and holy sites in Jericho, Nablus and Gush Katif have fared no better – they were burned to the ground while Palestinian police looked on.
"Under Jordanian {tr: Jordanian Arab Muslim - dda} rule, Jews were not allowed to reach their holy places in Jerusalem at all, while thousands of Jewish graves on the Mount of Olives were desecrated and the tombstones used to pave streets.
"How can this be prevented under Palestinian [tr: 'Palestinian' Arab Muslim - dda] rule?"
"Here’s the truth: It can’t.
"Neither the purported Arab [tr: Arab Muslim - dda] rulers of eastern Jerusalem that President Barack Obama so earnestly wants to induct, nor the international community, will competently guard Jewish, Christian and Western interests in Jerusalem.
"Israel is the only reliable, responsible guardian of Jerusalem.
"And while we’re at it, here is another non-politically correct truth that needs to be articulated: Israel needs, desires and has developed Jerusalem as a workable, attractive city; it is the centerpiece of the ancient Jewish people and the modern State of Israel.
"The Arabs and Palestinians [tr: The Muslims - dda], however, don’t really care about Jerusalem; they never did.
"In fact, they would consider it a triumph if Jerusalem were so wracked by conflict and poverty that it was ruined for 1,000 years – just as long as it would be lost to the Jews.
"That is one more reason why Jerusalem cannot be parceled out to the Palestinians [tr: to the local Muslims - dda]."

Note: Earlier this evening I suggested that the one common bond every democratic country facs today is Islamic terrorism. I believe that would include the Muslim terrorism within our own country and not just attacks from the "outside"! Our Congress must demand immediately that whatever the guy int he White House is selling to the Palestinians, it has to cease NOW ..!! BeeSting
