In a stunning move that comes right out of the playbook of Yasir Arafat, the British Advertising Standards Authority gave a big boost to Temple Deniers and Islamic Radicals across the world. As some sources have reported the British Authority criticized Israel for including the Western Wall in an n advertising brochure, claiming it was not located in Israel!
"We told the Israeli Tourist Office not to imply that places in the Occupied Territories were part of the state of Israel," ASA, which is a public organization, said in a statement. The poster being advertised, showed a photo displaying a Tel Aviv beach, included a tiny picture of the Temple Mount at the bottom.
The British Authority claimed that "the status of the occupied territory of the West Bank was the subject of much international dispute, and, because we considered that the ad implied that the part of East Jerusalem featured in the image was part of the state of Israel, we concluded that the ad was likely to mislead."
But unlike its previous dispute with ASA, the Tourism Ministry did not capitulate and responded that the ad provides "basic, accurate information to a prospective UK traveler who wanted to know what to expect in Israel."
Make no mistake, this latest development is not an isolated incident. It is all part of the ongoing campaign by Israel's enemies to delegitimize the Jewish State.
It is the established policy of the State of Israel that Jerusalem is its united and undivided Capital. The democratic State of Israel has shown time and again that it has been the most trusted custodian of holy sites in Jerusalem - allowing peaceful adherents of any faith to visit their holy sites.
The Palestinian Authority has shown by words and example that it will do no such thing. From the tomb of Joseph in Nablus to the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem the Palestinians have shown complete disregard to the holy sites of others. Does anyone think Jews and Christians would be allowed access to the Old City and the Wailing Wall if the Palestinians were in control?
This decision is an outrage and should be protested by freedom loving people across the globe.
Note: Out of the pages of A Tale of Two Cities, the United Kingdom has gone back to the Dark Ages in supporting a very dark ideology of Islam and its terrorists. I think of the "Black Death" - the plague wiped out millions due to ignorance. However, to be fair, the U.K. simply follows the Obama's administration, who wishes to split like an atom the blessed City of David, Jerusalem and at the same time, dividing all Israeli's. The disease of hate spreads - it spreads from ignorance.
But world's open hate towards Israel is backfiring, for what it has accomplished is a stronger Israel and Jews throughout the world are uniting and "standing" WITH Israel. Bee Sting
