‘FRUSTRATING’: In an interview with Fox News, President Obama insisted that Americans are concerned more about the substance of the health care bill than the way it makes its way through Congress.
“The reason that I think this conversation ends up being a little frustrating is because the focus entirely is on Washington process, and yes, I have said that is an ugly process,” Obama said. “It was ugly when Republicans were in charge. It was ugly when Democrats were in charge.”Obama also defended some provisions in the bill for states, like Louisiana, which could get millions of dollars to help recover from Hurricane Katrina. “They’re still trying to deal with the enormous challenges,” he said.
Baier also asked Obama what he thought of Tiger Woods's return to golf. "I think that Tiger has acknowledged that he betrayed his family, and that’s a personal issue he’s got to work out. I hope they’ve worked it out," Obama said, adding that Woods will still be a "terrific golfer."
