Regular Atlas reader - eyewitness to the spit that didn't happen --
To my point, I was there and within feet of this alleged spitting and I can tell you without any hesitation whatsoever that this did not happen--period. I would never allow anyone to say anything racial about anyone. If that were the case I would have singled him/her out so the police could conduct due process. Further, if any person dared to spit upon another American in my presence I would have tackled that person immediately and held them until the police arrived.
Please look at the video that you have on your web site and watch the alleged "spitter" who is cupping his hands to apparently channel his effectiveness so that he could be heard (something that has us all outraged, that they are ignoring the majority of Americans) OK, you can see the man cupping his hands as most of the Congressmen walked to the center of the steps as he was leaning over as he was shouting -" kill the bill" -as we all were. Look at Jesse Jackson Jr. as he walks by, he holds up (not one) two cameras as he passed by and simply antagonizes us by sticking the cameras in our faces. Clearly he was not the only Congressman who had cameras rolling--they were others and of course the hundreds in the crowd.
Now, watch Congressman Cleaver walk directly into the man cupping his hands--this was an intentional collision--look at it again. He had a police escort and if anything had been said or done it would have resulted in an immediate arrest. If spittle is a crime then I have a lot of arrest warrants out for my students.
Most telling of all was the fact that Cleaver stayed there and continued to argue and the man continued to shout. Further, when he reaches the top step ( in front of camera...hmm) he looks at his hand and apparently sees foreign matter and proceeds to wipe his mouth with it. Not sure about you but if I step in a pile of dung I don't take my shoe off and proceed to sample it with my face.
Regarding the use of "N" word, I can tell you that I have been to 4 Tea Parties and I have never heard that word. IT DID NOT HAPPEN at this scene. This is all part of Saul Alinsky's tactic when you have no sound principles. Thier ploy is to ridicule, marginalize, isolate and associate informed dissent with racism--not working anymore. The media is now CORRUPT and it is disgusting. THE TRUTH IS NOW A CRIME.
Earlier in the day Congressman Obey walked from the Longworth towards the Capitol and he got ten times attention of these gentleman. I for one lost my voice as I expressed my First Amendment to him in particular.
The only crime intentionally being committed currently is this blatant abuse of power by this Rogue and Radical administration that is ignoring the majority of Americans. Our traditional checks/ balances are null and void because of a corrupt and complicit media.
