Vice President Joe Biden and second lady Jill Biden are traveling in the Middle East this week, the White House announced. The couple left Andrews Air Force Base for Jerusalem just before 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
There are no events scheduled on Monday, but on Tuesday the vice president is due to speak with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Shimon Peres and Kadima Party Chair Tzipi Livni.
On Wednesday, they visit Ramallah and the Palestinian territories before traveling to Amman, Jordan, Thursday and Friday.
