Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Tuesday denied reports that he had come to an agreement with Egypt on declaring Jerusalem as the capital of a Palestinian state.
In a statement released Tuesday morning, the Prime Minister's Office stressed, "The prime minister has not changed his known view, and stands firmly on all political matters."
"In any peace agreement Jerusalem will remain the united capital of Israel," the statement added.
