“I want this to end quickly and bring the story back to its proper proportions,” Anat Kamm said on Saturday, in an interview with Channel 2 news.
It was the first time Kamm has spoken to the media since her investigation and indictment four months ago. She has been under house arrest at her apartment in Tel Aviv ever since.
She is charged with two counts of aggravated espionage, for allegedly copying more than 2,000 IDF documents, including 700 classified as “top secret” or “secret,” and handing them over to Haaretz reporter Uri Blau.
Kamm refused to speak at length with her interviewer. Asked how she was feeling, the 23-year-old journalist said, “I am okay. I hope this affair will end quickly, but beyond that, I can’t be interviewed.

She was also asked how she felt being under house arrest and whether she regretted what she had done.
According to reports, Kamm’s trial is due to begin later this month but the investigative material has not been handed over to her defense attorneys. One of her lawyers, Avigdor Feldman, was not available to comment.
